Description of the activity

We walk together at a leisurely pace on Rokosjøen and in the forest area around the lake for 1.5 – 2 hours. We start and end the trip at Rokosjøen camping. After the trip, you will be invited to sauna and ice bath (for those who wish), hot drinks and something to eat.

Physical condition

Suitable for everyone, you don’t need to have worn snowshoes before. Difficulty level depends on snow conditions. The trip itself takes up to 2 hours.

Price

NOK 590/person, including guide, loan of snowshoes, sauna for 30 minutes, ice bath, waffles and drink and access to sanitary facilities/shower. Members price NOK 500/person.

Clothing

Wear winter boots or hiking boots, not Moon-Boots (too slippery for snowshoe bindings). Wear warm clothing suitable for the weather conditions. It’s a good idea to wear gaiters or outdoor trousers that go over the shoes due to deep, loose snow.

2 towels (one to sit on in sauna), water bottle.

Swimming shoes or woollen socks, hat and mittens.

Nice to know

While you’re in the sauna, it’s a good idea to collect your things in a sack/bag and hang them on a hook in the hallway of the sanitary facility. Valuables can be hung on the outside of the sauna. NB!!! We do not take responsibility for valuables.

Age: +9 years.

Size of snowshoes: We have snowshoes in sizes 25”, 27”, 30” and 36”. It fits shoe sizes between 36 and 47. If you have your own snowshoes, feel free to bring them.

‍NOTE! The minimum number of participants for the tour to take place is 4 people. You will be offered to participate on another day if the trip is cancelled for this reason or you can get a gift card to use later or for other things.
